Supplier/Service Provider Council

Mission

Make a positive impact on the construction industry and support the AGC as an association by adding the supplier/service provider members’ unique perspectives and expertise.

Objectives

  • To create a stronger representation on the board of directors by collectively identifying those SSP issues which need to be addressed at the board of director meetings and ultimately, inform the SSP membership regarding AGC business by being a conduit of information from board meeting to SSP Council meetings
  • To develop a unique venue for low-key effective networking both among and within the different membership groups and get general contractor participation.
  • The Construction Professionals Exposition was create and then merged with the Fall Expo to create the Build St. Louis Expo.  Members of the SSP Council will serve on a task force with other AGC contractor and specialty contractor members to participate in the planning of this event.
  • To hold each other to the following code of conduct:
  • As members of the Supplier/Service Providers Council of the AGC of St. Louis, we are committed to building quality relationships through responsible networking and conducting ourselves as professionals with integrity while adhering to the highest of standards in our professions.
  • To participate in the exchange of information in order to learn how to better serve and effectively communicate with clients by understanding their roles, challenges and needs within the construction industry and provide the services and expertise to contractors and specialty contractors that are beyond the their general knowledge
  • The One Hour Early Bird Seminar series are free one hour seminars held the four Wednesday of each month on a business topic that benefits AGC contractors and specialty contractors. It gives the supplier and service provider members the opportunity to get face time with other members while providing valuable information to attendees.
  • To educate/communicate to fellow SSP members the value of their AGC membership.
