The Supervisory Training Program (STP) was developed by the AGC of America to provide a standardized training program for job site superintendents. It provides a comprehensive course for construction workers to enable them to develop skills necessary to become a supervisor. STP consists of ten separate units each requiring 25 hours of classroom time. Any individual who completes all ten of these units receives certification from AGC of America. Four STP units are offered each year so that in two and a half years, an individual can complete the program. STP units are taught by experienced job site managers.
